Lynch usually take the opportunity on Time to Talk Day to get everyone together, in a safe space, free from judgement. We know that it’s going to look different this year, as the pandemic means that we may not be able to meet face-to-face… that’s why this year the focus on “The Power of Small”. A quick text, phone call, or video chat to check in with our loved ones. Talking to each other about mental health and wellbeing is more important then ever before.
Chris Kent, Project Manager for Lynch, is a real advocate for talking about mental health, sharing his own journey, and encouraging others to do so – “There is no shame to admit that you are not mentally fit, and there is no shame to ask for help. People take their own lives, but we can change this if we all look out for each other.”
If you need support – reach out and talk. You can call the Construction Industry Helpline 24/7 on 0345 605 1956 or download this list of organisations who can help you.
A cup of coffee and a chat can go a long way, and you might even just become a silent hero.
