Statement of Intent

L Lynch Plant Hire & Haulage Ltd is committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in any part of our business, or our supply chain.

We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships. We take reasonable steps to ensure slavery and human trafficking are not taking place in any business or organisation that has any business relationship with our Company. We expect our supply chain and contractors to comply with our values and to have appropriate policies and processes that address slavery and human trafficking.

As part of our commitment to identify and mitigate risks, the company has in place systems to encourage the reporting of any concerns which include, freedom of workers to terminate employment, freedom of movement, freedom of association, any threat of violence, harassment and intimidation, the use of worker-paid recruitment fees, compulsory overtime, child labour, discrimination, confiscation of workers' original identification documents, provides access to remedy, compensation and justice for victims of modern slavery and the protection of whistleblowers.

This statement is made in accordance with Section 54 (1) of The Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes the company's Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking statement.

Actions in the last year

In the last year we have collaborated with multiple suppliers and customers to ensure the systems we have in place are robust. 

Modern Slavery is covered in training for all Senior Leadership and Central functions and is a standing item on Board Meetings. 

Our recruitment processes are designed to ensure that all prospective employees are legally entitled to work in the UK and to protect employees from any exploitation or coercion.

We delivered 'Return To Work' Sessions around Modern Slavery, Worker Protection Act, and Inclusion

We attended the Supply Chain Sustainability School Unlocking the business case: Tackling modern slavery and labour exploitation.

We created and issued Lynch Q1 Modern Slavery and Whistleblowing briefing.
