HS2
Lynch were delighted to join Skanska Costain STRABAG JV (SCS JV) for the opening of the Willesden Euro Terminal, the brand new Logistics Hub for the HS2 Area South. The new hub is described as being the heart of the project, will help support a reduction in road freight, and is expected to take millions of lorries off the roads.
Additionally, we were pleased to be part of the #Project EDWARD 2021 Road Safety event at the hub. Project Edward: Every Day Without A Road Death is a UK-wide road safety initiative, which promotes ‘safe systems’ and aims to create a road network free from deaths or serious injuries. This week, there are events up and down the country, all which promote safe vehicles, road use, speed and roads. We were pleased to be able to showcase our new Low Entry Tipper Lorry, our 5-Star Direct Vision Standard (DVS) vehicle with high visibility cabs and lower seating positions, windows and mirrors which are specifically designed to eliminate dangerous blind spots.
As a leading provider of Operated Plant Hire, Haulage and Transport within the UK Construction Industry, we know how important it is that we operate safely on the UK’s roads. A safer road environment benefits everyone and helps us to leave a positive impact in the communities we work in.
Events like these highlight just how important road safety is. Thank you to SCS JV for hosting this important event on the opening of the new HS2 Area South Logistics Hub.
