It's Road Safety Week and the Lynch Team has been busy raising awareness of road safety across our teams and local communities!
Over the week, our teams partook in several fun initiatives beginning with a Safety Talk at Coppice Junior School in Solihull. Following our previous visit to Netley School in Camden, we were invited by Skanska's Social Value Manager, Emily Law, to lead in Road Safety Week. Stephen Bremner, Damon Cripps, Craig McCormack and Gaby Lawrence spent a full day filled with exciting activities, educating young people all about road safety.
It was exciting for the children to see the lorries parked outside their school, but it also allowed them to understand what the drivers can and cannot see and how we can stay safe on the road.
"As a leading Transport and Haulage provider, we are always happy to drive the message of road safety. Visits of this nature are invaluable to educate the younger generation, so they can understand the dangers presented by traffic, and so that they may have a greater understanding of that which the driver can or cannot see."
Craig McCormack
At Lynch, we take our road safety responsibilities very seriously and we would like to thank Skanska for the opportunity to collaborate in this year’s Road Safety Week.
We ended our celebrations of Road Safety Week with a fun ‘Wear Bright’ themed dress-up day across our offices on Friday – and as always, our teams delivered!!
