World Environment Day

Today World Environment Day, but every day is an opportunity for us all to make tomorrow’s world better than it was.

Our vison is to be the best at what we do, and for our people to the best they can be. For this to be achieved, we must put sustainability at the heart of all that we do. We are passionate about the role we play in having a positive impact on the world we live in, and we want our people to work in the best environment possible.

We are investing in the use of sustainable energy, the increase of fuel efficiency within our fleet, the reduction of waste, new plant technology and much more…

We know that of the best ways we can positively impact on the planet is through behavioural change. Our leading Training Team work tirelessly with our Operators to develop their skills in sustainable machine operating and controls, we have found this investment into the mindsets of our great people is having the greatest return

As well as this, we collaborate with our supply chain partners. We challenge our thinking around the way we currently work and co-create innovations to increase our sustainability as a business.

We are also committed to making our Depots even more environmentally friendly, installing 400+ solar panels on the roof of our Southern Depot. These generate enough energy to power the entire buildings lighting output, and supply power in main grid.  We have planted over 200 trees and introduced live plants into our working environment.

Positive changes just like these can help us to create a bright future: for the environment, our communities and the planet. We strive to do our bit to ensure a greener and cleaner construction industry.

We are so proud of our sustainability investments so far, but we have so much more to do! We are excited about working with the industry to make an even bigger impact.

Together we can all do more and be the change we want to see.
