Lynch is delighted to be able to support The McCarthy-Dixon Foundation, donating them a much-needed van from our fleet. This van will allow them to transport all of their food for distribution to the most vulnerable, including local schools and community mental health centres. Teresa McCarthy-Dixon, charity manager and founder, and several charity volunteers visited our Southern Depot to meet with Directors Liam Lynch, Merrill Lynch and Steve Bremner, and Paul Keenan, Head of Machine Control, and receive their new van.
This will be a game-changer. The people that we provide this food for are in desperate need, they are some of the most vulnerable in our community. There are so many people who benefit from our services and the addition of this new van will really help us to continue to help those who need it most.
Teresa McCarthy-Dixon - Charity Manager and Founder
The McCarthy-Dixon Foundation is a charity that launched during the unfortunate Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 to help alleviate hunger and to provide essential supplies to those in need. What started as a temporary charity over the first lockdown has now helped over 40,000 people and over 50 schools in the Northampton area. The charity provides essential services, including a food bank for the most vulnerable, a food larder with discounted prices for those who need it. As well as this, they run social groups like the Monday Club, Garden and Room Renovations and they visit those who are isolated to help combat loneliness. This charity aims to enhance the quality of life for so many people and Lynch are proud to support their initiative.
At Lynch we really appreciate the work that charities like this do for our local communities and we want to get involved in helping them. As well as their new van, Paul Keenan will be joining friends and industry colleagues in a skydive on the 9th of October, with all funds raised going directly to The McCarthy-Dixon Foundation!
