Lynch were delighted to welcome members of Balfour Beatty's sustainability team to our offices this morning. Along with SiteRight NOCN and Flannerys, we discussed our Eco Operator training program and how it helps us on our journey to Net Zero by 2040.
Eco Operator training aims to reduce unnecessary idling, increasing onsite air quality whilst lowering carbon emissions and fuel costs.
The course aims;
•To raise awareness and understanding of the impact that plant operations can have on people, society and the environment
•To understand why Government and our industry is committed to Carbon Zero initiatives
•To understand the causes and factors of climate change related to plant operations
•To understand what engine emissions are, what causes them and how they affect others
•To understand how the planning of work and operating efficiently leads to emissions reductions and fuel savings
We are proud that every operator we place undergoes Eco Operator training before they start work.
Gez Bonner, National Training Manager, lead the session and discussions around the importance of bringing Eco Operator to all sites nationwide.
Collaboration with our customers helps us to reach a sustainable future, increasing operator health, saving money and helping the planet.
